Registration support

After the employer and its payroll or tax adviser identify the states and accounts required, AFS can coordinate registration with the applicable state agencies and organize the resulting account information.

Closure support

When payroll ends in a jurisdiction, we can coordinate agency account-closure requests based on confirmed final payroll and filing information.

Support may include

  • State withholding and unemployment account applications
  • Agency correspondence and missing-information follow-up
  • Account-number and registration confirmation organization
  • Account closure or termination requests
  • Coordination with the client's payroll provider or CPA
AFS does not run payroll, classify workers, calculate wages or taxes, or prepare employment tax returns unless separately agreed and professionally supported. Final payroll returns and deposits may remain due when an account closes.
